Flying
|
 |
Flying is a fantastic way to go sightseeing. Being wheelchair bound makes
it difficult to go hiking in the bush, getting in the air, allows a birds eye
view of countryside otherwise inaccessible.

Description:
My
friend Steve recently built this 180hp RV7. We attached a chain lever hoist to
a beam at the hanger, hoisted me up, pushed the plane underneath and lowered me
in.
This
day we took off at Tyagrah airfield near Byron Bay and we flew around the back
of Mount Warning near Murwullumbah (Wollumbin) in Northern NSW. It was a great
sight as I’ve only seen the East side of the Mountain which is a huge extinct
volcano.
